The OpenELIS Foundation is making it easier for public health labs to manage everyday life. With their enhanced Manage Multiple Samples feature, batches of samples can be selected for updates. This new feature means flexibility and better data control, ensuring labs can efficiently handle the demands of testing, even during high-pressure periods.
Here’s a quick look at the improvements:
Flexible Sample Updates
Previously, modifying sample information or associated tests had to be done one sample at a time, a process that is time-consuming and slows down the next step in the process. Now, labs can efficiently:
- Add or cancel tests.
- Add, edit, or remove notes and QA events.
- Adjust collection dates, times, or storage conditions.
- Modify sample types to ensure test viability.
What’s Next?
These updates are currently being tested and will roll out early in the new year. The OpenELIS Foundation continues its commitment to semiannual releases, allowing labs to implement and test changes seamlessly in their environments.
By adding features to sample management, the OpenELIS Foundation empowers public health labs to operate with greater precision, supporting the efficient and streamlined services public health labs offer.
