Big, yet exciting, changes are underway at the OpenELIS Foundation.
After more than 15 years in the role of Executive Director, Gary Jones is stepping back from the role to enjoy a partial retirement. While Gary won’t be at the helm anymore, we’re happy to say he’s staying on to contribute his skills to the Foundation’s finance department.
Taking over as Executive Director is Shondra Johnson, someone we believe is a perfect fit for the role. Shondra has been a long-time supporter of OpenELIS. She is known for serving our customers and the greater community in a beautifully friendly manner. We know she’ll guide the Foundation with the same commitment.
We’re also welcoming Jessie Bauer into a new role as Manager of Implementation and Training. Jessie brings a unique perspective as a former OpenELIS user and someone with extensive lab experience. She’s excited to use her knowledge to make implementation and training even smoother for our clients.
Gary’s exact time as Executive Director? 15 years, 2 months, and 2 days.
That’s an impressive tenure! He leaves behind a legacy of steady leadership, growth, and innovation, and we couldn’t be more thankful for the time spent with him.
We’re excited about this transition and confident in what’s ahead for OpenELIS. Stay tuned for updates as we embark on this new chapter.
